4 days, 3 nights, 2 sisters, 1 suite. This says it all. Okay, no, there's actually more to that.
Let's start at the very beginning:
In July my sister and I actually wanted to spend a few days in Croatia, but unfortunately that didn't work out. As we desperately wanted to get away my sister looked for Plan B. She came up with an extremely cheap flight to Milan. We instantly booked it. And lived happily ever after... for a few minutes. Because Ryan Air, wear ALL the clothes (if you know what I mean). It wasn't that bad after all, but we'll definitely choose another airline from now on.
Considering our bad airline choice, we decided to go for a hotel that was a little bit more expensive: The Radisson Blu. Since we are awesome (oh yeah!), we got a free room-upgrade. Hallelujah!
From that minute on we were accompanied by, what we liked to call, 'suite karma'. THE best invisible lucky charm you can imagine, well, at least we like to think of it that way, but that's a long story.
Since shopping is one of the first things that comes to one's mind when thinking about Milan, we kind of skipped the (normally quite essential) sightseeing part a bit. However, there's one building you definitely shouldn't miss when staying in this city: Duomo di Milano. Being the fifth largest cathedral in the world and the largest in the whole Italian country you can guess how impressive it is to stand in front of it. On top of that you can take the stairs to the roof for a few euros. You get a closer look and a view of Milan itself.
Also worth visiting is Castello Sforzesco, because it's nearly as nice as the Duomo.
Since Milan is a fashion capital we tried to dress as fashionable as the Milanese. Given the fact that we were asked for directions several times, by tourists and true Italians, I think we did a pretty good job.
And last but not least a few video impressions of our trip.
